Creator of “Everybody Draw Muhammad Day” now wanting to back down

Seattle artist Molly Norris started the idea for making May 20th the "Everybody Draw Muhammad Day."
Her inspiration was the recent self-censorship of South Park for depicting Mohammed in a bear suit.
The LA Times reports that Norris now wants to have nothing to with her own idea.
Her stark website today reads: ""I am NOT involved in "Everybody Draw Mohammd [sic] Day!"

Threats have been made against the creators of South park for a recent episode (201) that mentions Muhammad.

National Day of Prayer ruled Unconstitutional

The Freedom From Religion Foundation has won its lawsuit against federal government. A US District Court in Wisconsin has ruled against President Obama declaring that the "National Day of Prayer" is unconstitutional.
This case will probably go to the Supreme Court, if the Obama administration decides to seek a reversal.

Last year, Ireland’s government approved a tough blasphemy law. This law has been fought by atheist groups in Ireland.
The government has now decided to hold a referendum on this law, and a popular vote can get it repealed.
